The poor in spirit

• For all those things my hand has made, and all those things exist, says the Lord. "But on this one will I look:On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit. Isaiah 66:2

• The humble also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 29:19

Those who mourn

• Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old, together; for I will turn their mourning to joy, will comfort them, and make them rejoice rather than sorrow. Jeremiah 31:13

• For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation , not to be regretted... 2 Corinthians 7:10

• You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness. Psalm 30:11

The meek

• But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Psalm 37:11

• Good and upright is the Lord; therefore He teaches sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way. Psalm 25:8-9

Those who hunger and thirst for righteousness

• My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. Psalm 42:2

• JESUS stood and cried out, saying: "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink."John 7:37

• I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. John 6:35

The merciful

• And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Crhist forgave you. Eph.4:32

• Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. Luke 6:36

• He has shown you, oh man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you: But to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Mic.6:8

The pure in heart

• Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm51:10

• Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully He shall receive blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Psalm 24:3-5

• Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Prov.4:23

The peacemakers

• Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James3:18

• Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing causes them to stumble. Psalm119:165

• Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the lord. Heb.12:14

Those who are persecuted for righteousness sake

• All who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 2Tim.3:12

• If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. John15:18

• Remember the word that I said to you, ;A servant is not greater than his master." If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. John.15:20
• But even if you should suffer for righteousness sake, you are blessed. 1P.3:14

When they revile and persecute you,
and say all kinds of evil against you falsely

• Having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. 1P.3:16

• If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. 1P.4:14

• Yet if anyone suffers as a christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. 1P.4:16
   

Rejoice and be Glad

• Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2Cor.12:10

• My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. James 1:2-3

• Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross,despising the shame,and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2
