More than Conquerors

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship, or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ JESUS our Lord. [ROMANS 8:35-39]

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose."  ROMANS 8:28

The children of God are not exempt of having problems or afflictive experiences. As it happens to everyone, it happens to christians also. There are situations that intend to take us away from the rest we enjoy laying down in green pastures and besides quiet waters. But how much comfort and strength do we receive when we believe and confess the words of JESUS: "In this world you will have trouble, but be of good cheer! I have overcome the world." [JOHN 16:33]. No matter what your situation might be: whether it is of a sad nature, or difficult, or heavy, impossible to carry, temporarily or permanent, the Lord tells you: Be of good cheer, take heart, trust in the Lord ! Believe and wait!

"Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass"  Psalm.37:5
"Be not afraid; only believe."
MARK 5:36

There are times that, while we are waiting in the Lord, a lot of little foxes begin to march in front of us just as if they were Goliats: doubt, discourage, indiference in our personal relation with God, sleepiness, gluttony, thoughts of fear, sometimes bad humor and anger, etc., etc; a lot of different attitudes as there are persons. The christian life vanishes and the common and Christless life begin to take part, as if the God we preach would be dead. We forget what we celebrate on Resurrection Day: "He lives"; the lifestyle we are supposed to live from day to day. In our hearts we are believing that God left us, or that He doesn't love us, or that we committed such a fault that there's no forgiveness from God, etc.

We all know where all those lies and false things without future come from. Let us be on guard and alert against the schemes of the devil and let's learn how to cast him away in the instant he tries to use his old and wasted tricks full of craftiness.

Let's take hold of the armor of God, our Almighty God, who is in us and is for us; the God that is called Faithful and True, the One that never changes. He is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change his mind. His word will never return to him empty. He is the Amen and He made us more than conquerors.

When Balaam tried to curse God's people he couldn't do it, because God had determined that his people were to be blessed. Balaam had received a command from God to bless his people and such a command could not be changed. [Numbers 23-24] God turned the curse into a blessing, you know why? Because God LOVED his people. [DEUTERONOMY 23:5]

"And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is LOVE. And he that dwells in love, dwells in God and God in him. [1JOHN 4:16] How can we remain in God's love? ... -Remaining in JESUS, in his Word, and in the Spirit, ... The Spirit helps us in our weakness [ROMANS 8:26] to be victors over the devil, the world, and the flesh. "And if the Spirit of Him who raised JESUS from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who lives in you." [ROMANS 8:11] Let's do our part which is trust and wait and maintain a personal and intimate relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ in the midst of all circumstances. Let's open our mouth big enough, not to complain, but to praise and exalt the Lord for all his benefits and blessings over us. Let's sing to his glory for the Lord is good and his love endures forever. Let's ask God that He show us the treasures of darkness He has stored in secret places. [ISAIAS 45:3]

"That is why, for Christ sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I an weak, then I am strong. " [2Co.12:10] "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." [Ro.8:37] "This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." [IJohn5:4] "Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that JESUS is the Son of God. [1JOHN 5:5]
